May 19 - Men’s Basketball (Men 16 and over) – Salvation Army in Hampton – 6:00 p.m.

Sunday Morning – May 20th - Morning Celebration Service. Pastor’s Message is “Coffee with God.”  At the end of the service we will be celebrating the Credentialing Ceremony of our own Children’s Pastor, Kelly Zagursky.

Next Sunday, May 27th - Memorial Day Community Work Day and BBQ Picnic!  If you have not signed up, please do so this Sunday.  We would appreciate it, if all of you would contributed some drinks and bottled water for this event.

Saturday, June 2 - 4-7PM – there will be a Picnic Reunion for all those who attended the “Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage” Life Group.  Details are in the church bulletin.

We have ordered the book “The Circle Maker.”  This was the series Pastor preached from at the beginning of the year.  The cost is $13.00.  You can pre-pay at the Information Center after the Morning Service this week which will guarantee your copy.

Saturday, May 12 – Flood Student Ministries CAR WASH… from 9:00am-1:00pm.  Help support Flood Student Ministries send their students to camp this summer by coming out to the church and getting your car washed!  Let your friends & family know about it, too.  All proceeds will go towards the church sponsoring youth camp students.

Also on Saturday, May 12 – The Widow’s Tea at 11:00 am; Teen Challenge Graduation at 3:00 pm; and the Mother-Daughter Pottery Night starts at 6:30 pm.

Sunday, May 13 – Mother’s Day.  Whoever you are, wherever you are, on Mother’s Day, remember your Mom.  God gave us life through our mothers.  On this special day, May 13th, if you are interested in becoming a Member of Calvary, the Membership Class starts at 8:30 am in the Office Foyer area.   Our 10:00 am our Morning Celebration Service welcomes Rhonda McGinnis as our Mother’s Day Speaker.  The Discipleship Class is at 6:15 pm in Room 105. The Resonate Singles Life Group is canceled this Sunday.

Tuesday, May 8th – 7:00 pm – Dr. George O. Wood, General Superintendent of the Assemblies, is the speaker at the 95th District Council Ordination Service being held at Bethel Church on Todds Lane.  We hope many of you will plan to attend.

Wednesday, May 9th – FLOOD Youth will be meeting in the Picnic Shelter area and their guest speaker is Dave Freeland, the Potomac Youth Ambassador.

Saturday, April 27 - The Men’s Basketball at the Salvation Army is canceled this Saturday due to scheduling.

Sunday, April 29, 2012:

9:00 am – Water Baptism Class – if you wish to be water baptized on May 6th, please attend this class on Sunday Morning, or you can attend the class on Wednesday Night, May 2, at 6:00 pm.

10:00 am – MORNING CELEBRATION SERVICE and CHILDREN’S CHURCHES.  Pastor’s Sermon Topic this Sunday:  “I’m a Prophet.”

1.  The Men’s Softball Team will be playing on Tuesday at 7:30 pm and Friday at 6:30 pm at the Liberty Baptist Field. No admission charge and they have a concession stand and bathrooms.

2.  Teen Challenge is having a Graduation Ceremony and Cook-Out on May 12th.  They invite Calvary Church Supporters to attend this Ceremony and Cook-Out in honor of Jacob Davies.  You MUST RSVP to 244-3733 no later than May 9th.

3.  Mothers-Daughter-Grandmothers are invited to celebrate Mother’s Day on Saturday, May 12th, at the Starving Artist Paint Your Own Pottery Studio in Port Warwick.  Check the bulletin and foyer table for more information and how to sign up.

4.  Everyone – please mark your calendars for Sunday, May 27th – the day before Memorial Day.  Our church families will be working together to serve our neighbors with a Community Work Day starting at 9:00 am and ending at 1:00 pm with a BBQ Lunch in the Shelters. More information will be provided soon.

Saturday, April 21st – 5:00 pm – CORNHOLE CHALLENGE – Join us at 5:00 pm in the Gym.  You can sign up for two divisons for only $5.00. The Wallsarosa Cafe will be serving hamburgers, cheeseburgers, nachos, soft pretzels, hot french fries (we have a new food warming lamp!), sodas, bottled water, and candy bars.

Sunday Mornimg, April 22nd – 10:00 AM – Morning Celebration Service.  (Coffee and donuts HeBrew Adult Fellowship starts at 9:09 am).

We have added, for your convenience, a Debit/Credit Card Terminal if you would like to give your tithes and offerings that way.  It is now located in the Church Office – Tammy Messina will be there after the service on Sunday to help you with the transaction.

Pastor has scheduled a Water Baptism for Sunday, May 6th.  Please sign up in the church foyer on Sunday, as you will need to attend one of the scheduled classes.

Sunday Night – April 15th – Discipleship Class starts at 6:15 pm.  It is also “Movie Night” at Kiln Creek – “October Baby” – 7:10 pm – You can still get tickets from Sheri Highlander on Sunday Morning. ($7.50 per ticket)

Monday Night – April 16 – The  Walk-Jog-Run Play Group at 6:00 pm will temporarily be meeting at Fort Monroe.  Go to the parking lot at the intersection of Stillwell and Fenwick Road.

Two new additions to the calendar:

(1)  Sunday Night, April 15, at 7:10 PM – OCTOBER BABY MOVIE NIGHT.  We have made reservations for our church to view this movie together at Kiln Creek Theater.  The special price is $7.00 per ticket.  You can purchase your tickets on Sunday at the Foyer Desk.

(2)  Spring Discipleship Class starts Sunday, April 15th at 6:15 pm.  This 10 Week Class is for guests, new believers and anyone interested in understanding the Word and your relationship with God.  Sign up at the Foyer Desk.

See you Palm Sunday Morning (April 1, 2012) at 10:00 AM for the Morning Celebration Service.  The Praise Choir will be singing some beautiful Easter Music.
