Our church computers and emails have been restored and are working – due to the outstanding extra effort of one of our members, Alan Noble. He has worked many days, nights and hours volunteering here and we so appreciate his commitment to the Lord and to our church.

Sunday, February 19th – 10:00 AM – Morning Celebration Service – Pastor’s message is from Romans 8:6 – “Mind Control.”

On Sunday, there will be a Men’s Softball Information Meeting immediately after service in the Upper Room. Two new Study Groups will be starting at 6:30 p.m. – “Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage” and “The Secret Message of Jesus.” February 20, Monday Night at 7:00 pm, “Erasing Hell” (by Francis Chan) Study Group will start.

This Weekend - February 3rd - Widow’s Dinner at 6:30 pm and February 4th - “Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage at 6:30 pm.

Sunday – February 5th – 10:00 AM Morning Celebration Service.  All Sunday Evening Activities are canceled. Super Bowl Sunday Night Doors open at 5:30 PM - for Men, Fathers & Sons, and Flood Youth Boys.  There will be serious game watching in the Upper Room.  The Game will also be on in the gym with basketball and other games.  There will be a “chili cook-off” and hamburgers.

Spring Cornhole Challenge Dates have been changed:  The new dates are March 10, April 21, and May 5.

The Annual Church Business Meeting is February 26, 2012 starting at 5:00 p.m.  The Regularly Scheduled Study Groups will meet following the Business Meeting.  Board Nomination Forms are avaiable at the Information Desk.

The Royal Ranger/Mpact Pinewood Derby Worshop is tonight from 7-9 pm at the Phenix School on Big Bethel Road.  There will be three more workshops in February.

The funeral service for Matt Whitaker is Friday, January 27th at 2:00 pm.  Visitation with the family is from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.  Location:  R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in downtown Hampon. The funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Highlander.

We hope to see you for fellowship from 9:09 AM – 9:50 AM.

We will be having a “Spring Cornhole Tournament.” The first one is March 3rd.  There will be one in April and one in May – dates to be determined.  There are three divisions: Men’s, Coed, and Women’s.  Entry Fee is $5.00.   If you would allow us to use your Cornhole Set, we would appreciate it, and if you want to start bringing them in, we will be happy to store them in the Activity Building.

The Ladies Coffee and Conversation is this coming Saturday, January 21, at Tammy Frye’s Home from 9:30 – 11:30 AM.  This is held the third Saturday of each month.

2.  Your 2011 Contribution Statements are in the box in the Church Foyer.  Please help the church save the cost of postage by picking your statement up on Sunday.

Sunday Morning – January 22 – 10:00 AM.  Pastor’s Message is “The question we all have to answer – has God’s arm lost its power?”

Three new Women’s Bible Studies start this week (one Sunday, one Monday and one Tuesday) plus the Ladies Coffee and Conversation next Saturday – if you have not already done so, please be sure and sign up Sunday!

Vantage Point Singles moves to Tuesday Night (January 24th) and are beginning a new study.

Our Music Minister will be resuming Prasie Choir Rehearsals on January 29th – Call Sheri or see her about the upcoming Easter Musical if you would like to be a part of it.

Sunday, January 15th – Evangelist Gerald Mahan will be with us for the Morning Celebration Service at 10:00 AM and that Evening at 6:15 pm for a Rally and Water Baptism. We hope all of you will be here and that you are planning to bring unsaved loved ones. Note: Vantage Point and Resonate Singles regular meetings are canceled Sunday Evening.

Monday, January 16th – We will be celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and the Church Office is closed.

NEW:  8:45 am - Paula Brown’s Sunday Morning Study Group meets until 9:30 am.  They are studying the John Bevere Series – “The Fear of the Lord.”  All are welcome!  Room 201.

NEW: 9:09 am - PRE-Celebration Service ADULT FELLOWSHIP (HeBrews). Adults, please check your kids in Kids Connect, get them settled in their classes, then join us in the Sanctuary  for coffee and donuts. The Morning Celebration Service begins promptly at 10:00 AM. 

NEW: 6:30 pm – The “Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage” Study Group starts.

Monday, January 9 - At 7pm –  ManUp Men’s Ministry resumes in Room 201.
Tuesday, January 10, at 9:30 am – Ladies Titus Life Group resumes.

NEW: Wednesday, January 11 – 6:30 PM - If you want to be baptised in water, please attend this Water Baptism Class in Room 208.

One more thing - we put over 180 Prayer Envelopes on the Prayer Board  If you have not filled out your “iBelieve 2012″ prayer request, but would like to, please make sure you get a Prayer Envelope this Sunday. We believe that our God will answer those requests in 2012.

Good Evening Church Family – Just Two Quick Reminders

1.  Sunday Morning, January 1, 2012.  We invite all of you to join us at 10:12 AM for “hot” Krispy Kreme Donuts and Fellowship before the one hour Sunday Morning Celebration Service which starts at 11:00 AM until Noon. The donuts and drinks will be served from the kitchen window – so come on in the Sanctuary.  Please note: Kids Kindergarten through 6th Grade will be joining the Adults in the Service.  Nursery and Preschool Classes will be available.

2.  End of Year Contributions:  Your contributions will be deductible on 2011 taxes if they are in the church by December 31st or mailed and postmarked by December 31, 2011.  Your 2011 Contribution Statements will be available no later than January 29, 2011.

We are so excited about launching the “ibelieve 2012″ prayer initiative this Sunday, January 1st – what are you believing God for in 2012?

Pastor and Staff wish all of you a very Merry Christmas as we celebrate together the priceless gift of Jesus Christ.

We hope you and your family members will join us on Christmas Day Sunday Morning at 11:00 AM for our One Hour Family Christmas Service. The Kindergarten-6th Grade Kids will be singing “This is Christmas” with the Adult Choir. We will not be offering child care on Christmas Day. All children are welcome to join us in the Family Christmas Service.

The Church Office will be closed the week after Christmas – Dec 26-30th. There will not be a Wednesday Night Service on December 28th.
